陕西师大妇女文化博物馆现在面向社会筹集资金，拟建立中国第一座新型的、现代化的、综合性妇女博物馆大楼。设计面积5000M²，预计资金1000万元人民币（合120万美元）。陕西师大目前仅能够承担的建馆资金有50%。其余500万元人民币（60万美元）面向全社会募集，捐资者的姓名及善举将永久镌刻在博物馆大厅内显著位置；全额捐助500万元人民币的个人和组织将享有妇女文化博物馆大楼的冠名权。望热心于妇女事业的中国同胞、台湾同胞、海外华人、全球的炎黄子孙以及一切有志于促进两性平等和谐发展的国际友人伸出援助之手，你们的慷慨支持将会使中国第一座妇女文化宝库放射出熣烂的光芒，你们的名字也会因此而为中国妇女乃至全世界妇女所铭记！

   Women Culture Museum in Shaanxi Normal University presently appeals to the whole society for funds in the cause of establishing the first new modernized all-around women museum building in China, the designed effective space of which will be 5000m². It is estimated that the sum of money needed in establishing it will be around $1,200,000 (about 10,000.000RMB). Presently Shaanxi Normal University can afford only half of the sum at its best, and the rest ($600,000) has to be got from the society. The contributor will possess the right of naming the building of the museum. We’re hoping that Chinese descendants all over the world and foreign friends who are interested in women cause and devote themselves to equal and harmonious development of both sexes could offer us a hand. We believe that your generous support will surely result in the prosperity of China’s first Women Culture Museum, and your names will be engraved in the heart of the women in China and all over the world.

The new Women Culture Museum we are intending will be located in Shaanxi Normal University and its main components are:

1.Five permanent exhibition rooms. With the present articles as the base, exhibits here will be gradually enriched. The exhibition consists of five parts: I) Women characters in Jiangying; II) Wedding clothes; III) History in fabrics; IV) Women in the history; V) Reproductive culture; VI) Women’s craftworks.(2000M²)

2.Five  mobile exhibition rooms. These rooms will be used for the irregular exhibition exchange with other domestic and foreign museums, such as the exhibition of women’s dress and personal adornments, folk customs, handicrafts, paintings, books and calligraphies, etc., the purpose of which is to vitalize the museum and enrich its content at the same time.(1200M²)

3.One audio-visual room. Its purpose is to I) make general introduction of the museum through high-technical audio-visual means; II) broadcast permanent and fluid audio-visual materials; III). Hold lectures or saloons; and IV). Offer the visitors a place to rest.(200M²)

4.One Hall. It’s the place where the status and portraits of famous women that have made great contributions to the women cause are placed. On its distinguished honorable wall will be engraved names of those people having made enormous devotions to China’s first women museum. Also held here are the interesting games of questions and answers on gender education on computers. Besides, it is also a place for visitors to have a rest. (400M²).

5.One shop for the sale of charity goods. Here are sole handcrafts, replicas of the collection and printed materials that are relevant to the museum, and also those donated handcrafts, in hoping to support the development and establishment of the museum. (100M²)

6.Two working rooms. They offer the place : I) where the repair, arrangement, clearing and disinfecting through fumigation and steam and be made on the collected articles; and II) where the visitors (especially primary and middle school students ) can take part I the work, such as making clay sculptures, portraying, weaving and embroidering, etc. (200M²)

7.Five research rooms or classrooms. It is the place for scientific researchers to make researches and for the gender training to the museum staff s and to the society, which includes people in offices, in the field of mass media, and teachers and students from primary school to college. (300M²)

8.Two data rooms. They are used to I) offer books and reference materials for the researchers in the women research center and in the women Museum; II) offer information to the visitors; III) make relevant information exchange with domestic and foreign museums through Internet. (200M²)

9.Five offices. It’s the place where the managers handle official business. (200M²)

10.Two storerooms. It is for storing the collected articles and the charity sale goods. (100M²)
