在中国湖南省江永县上江圩一带，长久以来流传着一种极其独特的文字--女书。
它是迄今为止发现的世界上唯一的在女人中间使用的文字。

Around Shangjangxu Township Jiangyong County, Hunan province of China, there is a kind of peculiar
character, which records the local dialect.
It is only used and imparted among the women, and it is a uniq1ue in character history of the world.
We call it "Women's Characters".

　　女书作品一般写在纸扇上，绣、写在手帕上，或写在“贺三朝书”上面。
　　其中“贺三朝书”最珍贵。

　　它是一种线订的，黑色或银色布封面的小纸本子。妇女们用它来夹花线、鞋样子等。
　　按照当地风俗，结婚三天，新娘的朋友要带着“贺三朝书”来祝贺。
　　此书的前几页用“女书”写上些祝贺的话，后几页空着，留给女主人日后写些不便
　　告知外人的文字。

Works of Women's Characters are usually written on paper fans,
handkerchiefs and Wedding Congratulation letters. Among the three characters, Congratulation Characters are more valuable. They are threaded binding books with black cloth or silver covers that
can be used to collect the colorful floss silk, designs of embroidery and scissors-cuts. According local
custom, on the third day of marriage, the brides' friends would come to congratulate with Wedding
Congratulation letters. Generally, some hymns were written on the first a few pages of the small books, and rear blank pages are left for bride to fill after her marriage.
